From the land of Ian, Dischord, Bad Brains, Teen Idles, Minor Threat, S.O.A., Void, The Faith, DC Youth Brigade, Fugazi, Government Issue, Untouchables, and G-DUB BUSHWHACKER, we have another in the series of DC geniuses to make their way to our fine town. We have no idea who this guy is, but we like him already. He sees music regularly, he digs the Ponys and the Rosewood Thieves, and he is not scared of the Mohawk.
Please join me in welcoming our new favorite DC punk to Austin.

Im sure you have already heard, but if you haven't, Bill Callahan has announced that he is playing an intimate show tonite with his friends Thor and Jonathan (Shearwater). Bill is, in our humble opinion, is one of the greatest songwriters of our time, not to mention a good friend and great guy. If you arent hip to his music by now, dammit, you should be. Take the time to listen to his writing, it will change you.
Here are some more details:
Get there early, there will be limited viewing space. At his request, Bill will be playing on the original stage set up (inside), underneath the projection screen, the rusted eagle, and the wooden elk. There is room for less than 80 people in there, so if you want to see it (and you remember this), you know what to do.
We will probably open the green room upstairs for booze and lounging as well. If you want to get there early, we will be there....engulfed in Smog.
A big thanks to Bill for thinking of us. We look forward to seeing everyone there.
Some amazing footage of Bill below shot by our friends at Super! Alright! and KUT:

THE ONION AND FRVRRR PRESENT: TOKYO POLICE CLUB
with: TILL WE'RE BLUE, THE LAUGHING, CAR STEREO (WARS)
MONDAY NIGHT, MAR 10, 2008
"Canadian foursome Tokyo Police Club, denizens of the young side of things, should be college (sorry, university) students somewhere, getting into bars legally for the first time and mastering the fine art of term paper procrastination. Instead, they find themselves never-endingly out on the hard road with the likes of Art Brut, Cold War Kids and others, continuing to develop a sound that capitalizes on short bursts of energy, fast-twitch muscles and lyrics that gravitate toward a future that involves children handcrafting spaceships by fluorescent light when they should be sacked out with their stuffed animals hugged tightly"

"Austinist & Gothamist are proud to announce our day party, taking place on Wednesday, March 12 at the Mohawk. The party kicks off around 11 a.m., and the day ends at 6, but not before Shout Out Louds, Shearwater, Liam Finn and Phosphorescent perform.
This year, we'll be joined by Daytrotter, who will be streaming some of the performances live on the web, and local talent Annie Ray will be working hard in her photo booth as well.
As usual, the party is free, open to all. See you then!"

RHAPSODY PRESENTS: CLIPSE, CUT COPY, SONS & DAUGHTERS
with: BRISTISH SEA POWER, NO AGE, & MORE
THURSDAY (DAY), MAR 13, 2008
"If you don't think that rhymes about selling cocaine can be delightful, then you should hear "We Got It 4 Cheap Vol. 2," an impressive exercise in hip-hop formalism. Both brothers have tough, thin, back-of-the-throat voices. (They were joined onstage, as they are on the mixtape, by their protégés Ab-Liva and Sandman.) And despite their grim subject matter, you can tell they're rhyming for the pure thrill of it. The mood stays deadpan, but each stanza is an ode to the joys of internal rhymes, sly punch lines, slick threats."

If you dont know about these bands by now, Im not sure if you are allowed in this show. For everyone else...see you there. Killer show.

Well, they wont be naked, but you will want them to be. The hottest rock (and wedding) photographers in Austin (next to Dave Mead and Nash Cook) will be slanging dranks this Wednesday for the 'i turn my camera on' happy hour. $1 Drink specials, hot photographers, and plenty of Skynyrd. 5pm-8pm. You find me a better deal than that and I will punch myself in the cods (AND vote for Hillary).
check out their work here and here

Later that night, the luscious locals, Haunting Oboe Music will bring the chocolate indie rock to our stages. Diagonals, wine and revolution open.
Get you some of that here

These are just some of the answers to the simple yet groundbreaking question these poor people ask in cities and villages around the globe: "Why are we poor?" In the tradition of James Agee's Let Us Now Praise Famous Men, 'The Poor People Band' struggles to confront poverty in all its hopelessness and brutality, its pride and abject fear, its fierce misery and its quiet resignation...all while slapping it in the face with sweet telecaster action. Poor People allows the poor to speak for themselves, explaining the causes and consequences of their impoverishment in their own cultural, social, and religious terms. This whole discussion is lubricated by loading doses of lonestar and getting your Austin soul jam on this Sunday.
There is the alcoholic mother in Buddhist Thailand, sure that her poverty is punishment for transgressions in a former life, and her ten-year-old daughter, whose faith in her own innocence gives her hope that her sin in the last life was simply being rich. There is the Siberian-born beggar who pins her woes on a tick bite and a Gypsy curse more than a half century ago, and the homeless, widowed Afghan women who have been relegated to a "respected" but damning invisibility. There are Big and Little Mountain, two Japanese salarymen who lost their jobs suddenly and now live in a blue-tarp hut under a Kyoto bridge. And, most haunting of all, there is the faded, starving beggar-girl, staring empty-eyed on the back steps of Austins Central Bus Station, whose only response to Poor Peoples query is simply, "I think I am rich."
The result of Poor Peoples fearless journey is a look at poverty and rock unlike any other. Complete with more than 10 powerfully affecting songs—taken of the interviewees by the band itself—this series of vignettes and searing insights represents a tremendous step toward an understanding of this age-old social ill. With intense compassion and a scrupulously unpatronizing eye and ear, Poor People invite their fans to recognize in our fellow human beings their full dignity, fallibility, pride, and pain, and the power of their hard-fought resilience and the extreme force that good old fashioned rock and roll can have on every one of us.
Come out to the Mohawk this Sunday and help out some Poor People, all while getting your rock on...

Beam yourself up to the hawk on Saturday with 3d glasses and some ponys.

From Analog Giant:
Pase Rock what?
Check out this kid for some serious jams. Came across Mr. Rock through one of my favorite DJ's Cosmo Baker's myspace. I don't know much about this cat aside from him being a member of the great group Five Deez (out of Cincy). Get Kommunicator if you haven't its the real deal.
Now if you'll excuse me I need to go listen to "Fingertips Pt. 3.5" for the millionth time. Craziness.

If you are not hip to the El Paso Hot Button, you need to get there quick. One dude. He has infused his blood with awesome and rock and has been chasing chickens around in his backyard getting ready to release his ramble on the faces of unexpecting Austinites.
I know he's from Oklahoma, and I have no idea where the "El Paso" came from (maybe here), but someone snuck a White Stripes and a Jimmy Page record into his sandbox when he was a kid, and told him he could do it all by himself. Anyway, just know that Thursday, Feb 7th is your day to leave work early, go to the Grizzly Bar Happy Hour, get a loading dose cocktail, and lubricate your soul in preparation for the goods.
DIG ON THE VID:

If you havent heard already, local darlings, special homies, and bad-ass musicians WHITE DENIM are in the latest issue of Rolling Stone Magazine, full page style. As you know, the Mohawk has loved the WD since that first Fat Albert slap banged down on Turbos big rig. Truck drivers, landscapers, dancers, boozers, and friends. Thats what White Denim means to us. A team of renegade ramblers that arent scared to rock your tits off while stealing a risky business gaze off of your girlfriend at the show.
Here's to the coolest band we know, the most talented band we know, and the happiest band we know. Congratulations boys, its about to get real crazy for you. Long Live The Letter "D".
Listen to some of it here.
Check it out:

From 5-8, every day at the Grizzly Bar, drinks are so damn cheap, its like getting a cocktail at a garage sale, flea market, or Tijuana (respek). So, get your drink on at one of Austins best live music venues, and apparently, one of the best bars in America: DIG ON THIS
Wednesday's UP IN SMOKE happy hour will feature guest bartenders RGDG
from KOOP 91.7 Now Playing Austin serving
$1 Whiskey Shots, $1 PBR & High Life, $2-16oz Lone Star
But we dont just believe in cheap drinks at Happy Hour, we still believe in ordering good whiskeys and delivering them in a good pour with a good attitude. Old fashioned, yes. Awesome, absolutely. For Ramblers, no doubt.
Bring your piggy bank, meet some homies, and have a good time to one of the greatest music selections on Red River. Try a Beertunie. It will change your life.

If you've got a pair (or you dont), come and get your ramble on at the Mohawk.

We think we are so far from cool we cant even google map it.
But, we are proud of the fact that we are both a great bar AND a live music venue. Some of our Grizzly Bar Happy Hours (5-8) rival our best shows in terms of entertainment. You just have to be there to know what Im saying. Our new drink menu for 2008 will make a single bloody tear run down your face. Cocktails by the fire or herkies on the outside stage, its all good at 912 Red River.
Click on the link and log your vote. Plus, all press is good press I guess, and those guys at Esquire love to booze it. We know that already by their unrelenting and tireless efforts to report on whiskeys, drink mixes, and live music. They threw a Stooges show in Austin. They have some writers over there that know a bit about our town and about music today. So, with a pair of clinkers, a pipe, a shotgun, and a stick of slimjim, we respectfully nod our head (while looking over the top of our ray ban yellow shooters) in thanks to the rag that has the foresight to understand what we are trying to do here.
Regardless, click below and check it out. We love that music venues are being recognized, but we are a little scared of the fact that we are ranked next to a place called Club Duece in Miami Beach (respek). No offense, but it sounds like a great place to read a paper on the can and grind one out. Which is precisely why its my first stop next time I'm over there.
Thanks to Esquire. Big up. Long Live Sydney.

Another fine platter of hushed fuzz and splintered frets from Ben Chasny's mainstay, Six Organs of Admittance. Still channeling the dark lonesome spirits of some wooded acre, Chasny lays the vibes down heavy on Shelter from the Ash, a release that contrary to the title feels less easy than "shelter" might suggest. Heavy overtones of darkness and, if not fear certainly not calm pervade this album but maybe that's the point, its only a respite from the ongoing struggle and not permanent relief. Gentle strums and plucks give way to fuzzed electrics and atmospherics raging with wind and white noise. Definitely an album in tune with much that Chasny has issued under his Six Organs persona, but with a much more turbulent undercurrent than he's touched on in the past. Shelter is a fine album that stands as striking in the face of some disappointment with other frontrunners of the folk circle this year.

Devendra Banhart Comments in Six Organs:

We got new Sound Gear for Christmas. It sounds like sexy chipmunks whispering in your ear. With martini breath. And a reach around.
If you are a band, plug in and you will see your future.
If you are a music fan, throw your earplugs in the garbage, and open your earhole for incoming missles.
Sound is what can be perceived by a living organism through its sense of hearing. Physically, sound is vibrational mechanical energy that propagates through matter as a wave.
For humans, hearing is limited to frequencies between about 20 Hz and 20000 Hz, with the upper limit generally decreasing with age. Other species may have a different range of hearing. As a signal perceived by one of the major senses, sound is used by many species for detecting danger, navigation, predation, and communication. In Earth's atmosphere, water, and soil virtually any physical phenomenon, such as fire, rain, wind, surf, or earthquake, produces (and is characterized by) its unique sounds. Many species, such as frogs, birds, marine and terrestrial mammals, have also developed special organs to produce sound. In some species these became highly evolved to produce song and (in humans) speech. Furthermore, humans have developed culture and technology (such as music, telephony and radio) that allows them to generate, record, transmit, and broadcast sounds.

Stay posted. Stay tuned. Whatever. Just make it a point to take advantage of the fact that you live in Austin and these artista are coming to play for you. Dig it.

C'mon Pitchfork. Man, we see you at our clubs all the time. We see you at New Bohemia and Curras talking on your iPhone to your mom about how much fun you are having. When SXSW rolls around, we are your favorite city in the world. You will write about us like you all live here, grew up here, and know every 'best breakfast taco joint' in town. So why is it that we gets no love for NYE? We gots love for you. And we know we arent Chicago (single tear). But we would appreciate the courtesy of a reach around every once in a while when you are writing about 'music scenes for new years'...or anything of a similar sort. We just want to be big boys, ya know? We want to roll like big cities, on 22's, dripping with ice, and engulfed by really cool skyscrapers. Pitchfork, we love you. We dont want digital intercourse really, but a longing gaze from across the room (web) would do us just fine. Happy New Year.
Love,
Austin

Chino of the Deftones and Team Sleep play early show tonight. Stick around for the pop, pop, fizz, fizz of the YIP YIP from Winter Park. Umm, dont go to YIP YIPs myspace site though. It will freak you out, make you see comets and punch your girlfriend in the cakehole.

Pow! Right in the kisser. Tonite.
Have we mentioned lately that Party Ends is the sexiest, hardest working, local music loving, prog-tour promoting, drunkest, and danciest blog in the universe? If we havent, we suck. And Party Ends does not, becuase they continue to bring amazing lineups to great venues and creative locations all around our fine city. The Mohawk is blessed with one tonite (with our local faves Transmography). From Partyends.com:
Check out what the Onion has to say about the Astronautalis show tomorrow night!
“Indie-country-electro” rapper Astronautalis has shared the stage with everyone from A Tribe Called Quest to The Polyphonic Spree to Rancid, which indicates both how seamlessly he blends his indie-rock, IDM, and hip-hop influences and how schizophrenic the resulting songs are. “Meet Me Here Later,” from his sophomore album The Mighty Ocean And Nine Dark Theaters, is as good an introduction as any: Winkingly sentimental, it comes off like El-P sitting in with Built To Spill as remixed by The Postal Service. Also playing: Listener Project, Transmography.”
Preach it, the Onion. Preach it.

THE IROQUOIS THANKSGIVING ADDRESS
"Ohenton Kariwahtekwen"
GREETINGS TO THE NATURAL WORLD
THE PEOPLE
Today we have gathered and we see that the cycles of life continue. We have been given the duty to live in balance and harmony with each other and all living things. So now, we bring our minds together as one as we give greetings and thanks to each other as people.
Now our minds are one.
THE EARTH MOTHER
We are all thankful to our Mother, the Earth, for she gives us all that we need for life. She supports our feet as we walk about upon her. It gives us joy that she continues to care for us as she has from the beginning of time. To our mother, we send greetings and thanks.
Now our minds are one.
THE WATERS
We give thanks to all the waters of the world for quenching our thirst and providing us with strength. Water is life. We know its power in many forms-waterfalls and rain, mists and streams, rivers and oceans. With one mind, we send greetings and thanks to the spirit of Water.
Now our minds are one.
THE FISH
We turn our minds to the all the Fish life in the water. They were instructed to cleanse and purify the water. They also give themselves to us as food. We are grateful that we can still find pure water. So, we turn now to the Fish and send our greetings and thanks.
Now our minds are one.
THE PLANTS
Now we turn toward the vast fields of Plant life. As far as the eye can see, the Plants grow, working many wonders. They sustain many life forms. With our minds gathered together, we give thanks and look forward to seeing Plant life for many generations to come.
Now our minds are one.
THE FOOD PLANTS
With one mind, we turn to honor and thank all the Food Plants we harvest from the garden. Since the beginning of time, the grains, vegetables, beans and berries have helped the people survive. Many other living things draw strength from them too. We gather all the Plant Foods together as one and send them a greeting of thanks.
Now our minds are one.
THE MEDICINE HERBS
Now we turn to all the Medicine herbs of the world. From the beginning they were instructed to take away sickness. They are always waiting and ready to heal us. We are happy there are still among us those special few who remember how to use these plants for healing. With one mind, we send greetings and thanks to the Medicines and to the keepers of the Medicines.
Now our minds are one.
THE ANIMALS
We gather our minds together to send greetings and thanks to all the Animal life in the world. They have many things to teach us as people. We are honored by them when they give up their lives so we may use their bodies as food for our people. We see them near our homes and in the deep forests. We are glad they are still here and we hope that it will always be so.
Now our minds are one.
THE TREES
We now turn our thoughts to the Trees. The Earth has many families of Trees who have their own instructions and uses. Some provide us with shelter and shade, others with fruit, beauty and other useful things. Many people of the world use a Tree as a symbol of peace and strength. With one mind, we greet and thank the Tree life.
Now our minds are one.
THE BIRDS
We put our minds together as one and thank all the Birds who move and fly about over our heads. The Creator gave them beautiful songs. Each day they remind us to enjoy and appreciate life. The Eagle was chosen to be their leader. To all the Birds-from the smallest to the largest-we send our joyful greetings and thanks.
Now our minds are one.
THE FOUR WINDS
We are all thankful to the powers we know as the Four Winds. We hear their voices in the moving air as they refresh us and purify the air we breathe. They help us to bring the change of seasons. From the four directions they come, bringing us messages and giving us strength. With one mind, we send our greetings and thanks to the Four Winds.
Now our minds are one.
THE THUNDERERS
Now we turn to the west where our grandfathers, the Thunder Beings, live. With lightning and thundering voices, they bring with them the water that renews life. We are thankful that they keep those evil things made by Okwiseres underground. We bring our minds together as one to send greetings and thanks to our Grandfathers, the Thunderers.
Now our minds are one.
THE SUN
We now send greetings and thanks to our eldest Brother, the Sun. Each day without fail he travels the sky from east to west, bringing the light of a new day. He is the source of all the fires of life. With one mind, we send greetings and thanks to our Brother, the Sun.
Now our minds are one.
GRANDMOTHER MOON
We put our minds together to give thanks to our oldest Grandmother, the Moon, who lights the night-time sky. She is the leader of woman all over the world, and she governs the movement of the ocean tides. By her changing face we measure time, and it is the Moon who watches over the arrival of children here on Earth. With one mind, we send greetings and thanks to our Grandmother, the Moon.
Now our minds are one.
THE STARS
We give thanks to the Stars who are spread across the sky like jewelry. We see them in the night, helping the Moon to light the darkness and bringing dew to the gardens and growing things. When we travel at night, they guide us home. With our minds gathered together as one, we send greetings and thanks to the Stars.
Now our minds are one.
THE ENLIGHTENED TEACHERS
We gather our minds to greet and thank the enlightened Teachers who have come to help throughout the ages. When we forget how to live in harmony, they remind us of the way we were instructed to live as people. With one mind, we send greetings and thanks to these caring teachers.
Now our minds are one.
THE CREATOR
Now we turn our thoughts to the creator, or Great Spirit, and send greetings and thanks for all the gifts of Creation. Everything we need to live a good life is here on this Mother Earth. For all the love that is still around us, we gather our minds together as one and send our choicest words of greetings and thanks to the Creator.
Now our minds are one.
CLOSING WORDS..........
We have now arrived at the place where we end our words. Of all the things we have named, it was not our intention to leave anything out. If something was forgotten, we leave it to each individual to send such greetings and thanks in their own way.
Now our minds are one.

A huge thanks go out to the MCDs for playing this show.

The super foxxy, and always 'on it', Miss Annie Ray has released her private collection of shots from this years "Local Music is Sexy' Party thrown by our friends at the Austinist.
Dig into the electric sideshow here.
Thanks Annie. Stay awesome.

Think pearl harbor, but with droney stoner metal, monster amps, looming smoke, and explosive gongs and guitars. The Mohawk was Hawaii. Wow. These kids are amazing. Long live Boris. This shit makes me want to buy a t-top camaro (iroc-z). And earplugs. eh?

Thanks to Nash Cook for his 'always killer' eye and photography skills

Its a good time to be in Austin. The weather is fantastic (for the next 4 weeks at least), the cocktails are cold, and the music coming through town is mind blowing [ shhhh ]. So, for those of you that couldnt make it, Jesu was impressive in every way. Only if they had one more 'S' in their name, they could get so much more well deserved press...

JESU
Like a warm brownie in your ear canal. At 1AM, they took the stage on a Wednesday to bring 200 of us something that would have blown away a stadium full of music lovers. Think of Pelican, think of the Cure, think of Sigur Ros, think of some early 'minus maynard' Tool stuff and then cram them in a salad shooter.
It took two bands to do the same job on Saturday, but they were equally amazing:

BLITZEN TRAPPER

CROWD

TWO GALLANTS
Blitzen Trapper (Portland) and Two Gallants (SF) brought great crowds and serious live shows to the outside stage. Really. If you are a hard working band looking to 'break out'... ummm, well, get in line. These 2 west (sf/prt) coast bands have figured some things out. Take the time to check them out and buy their records.
*special thanks to nash and to keith gaddis for the photography

Austinist Show Review: A Victorian Pageant at The Mohawk

Advertised with tongue-in-cheek flair as a “frotean festival! of the fantastique” and “an evening most thrilling!”, the Victorian Pageant at the Mohawk on the 6th was indeed a unique experience, and a sprightly, fun show even when it didn’t exactly keep with the theme of corsets and humours.

The Noise Revival Orchestra were the first band to play the main, outside stage, and what an Orchestra they were. Dressed in full, fanciful regalia, the many-piece ensemble consisted of three percussionists, at least three keys players, multiple vocalists, brass, woodwinds, and more. An Austin band that formed up in the summer of ’06, the Orchestra actually aren’t huge on noise, but on multi-faceted pieces that employ vigorous instrumentation and swiftly changing structures. It’s easy to imagine this group growing out of a music majors’ gab session, and the percussionists alone were exciting to watch. At best some of the songs did sound close to epic, and at worst it sounded like Winn Butler fronting a marching band. Either way, it was a nice change of pace from the usual indie four-piece.
Ume started things inside with their loud, pulsating noise-rock, one of the evening’s bands who didn’t try at all to be Victorian in the least. Outside, a real barbershop quartet (and not a band called Barbershop Quartet) enthused the crowd with a few very old and just plain old tunes, explained some of the history of their craft, and ended their performance with a Beach Boys medley – and were easily one of the best-received groups of the evening. While Moth Fight readied their set with a very intricate sound-check, the Mohawk slowly filled up with people who began to browse some of the exhibits, available on both upper decks. Natrix Natrix set up a spirit photography booth, The Musuem of Artificial and Natural Ephemera had some of their namesake ephemera on display, including a jar of something viscous and disgusting, and Uncommon Objects also had some of their least common wares to show off. Spectators were also asked to gaze into a box to watch a flickering screen (a makeshift “nickelodeon”) and those interested had their countenances explained by the bumps on their head by a phrenology expert/person who just pretended to be an expert.

Inside, Attack Formation also took time to get their sound ready, but before too long the sometimes seven-piece band were out of the gates and rocking it up. Although the guitar onslaught and big riffs both a little bruised and brash recall bits of loud indie forebears like Archers of Loaf, softer touches like stray trumpet bursts and the female background vocals are what made them difficult to stop watching. Definitely recommended.
Even though the band Numbers officially closed the show, everything – from the out-there exhibitions to the general mood of the evening – belonged to Moth Fight, whose frenetic pop-psychedelia was best suited to the night’s peculiar theme. A five-piece group where almost every member plays at least three instruments, Moth Fight performed every one of their songs, and the care and craft of their set did not go unappreciated by the crowd. Even when their 3-D light show didn’t go as well as expected, the impressive rhythm section, grab-bag of instruments like singing saw, violin, and harpsichord (not to mention the sugary melodies) kept spirits high.
Given the night so far, recent Kill Rock Stars signees Numbers were something of a disappointment, as the trio was about as far from the period-piece mishmash of Moth Fight as could be. Vocalist and drummer Indra Dunis’ voice was almost drowned out by guitar noise, not to mention the aural battery done by Eric Landmark and his two synthesizers. While this might sound like a recipe for Loveless-era goodness, it had more in common with pop plebeians Mates of State than anything else.
The Mohawk really made an attempt to make a magical evening out of Saturday night, made manifest in the array of things to see, bands to hear, and those little touches that make the venue a warm, exciting place to spend part of your weekend. Here’s to many more “frotean festivals of the fantastique” in the near future.

check it.

Yeah, I will admit it. That shit was crazy. From the 'gaunlet', to the iPod debacle, to inspiring 300 people to sing a 'thank you' song to sheraton at 2AM on a Tuesday, this was a spectacle like none other.
You need to be in the right mental zone to get into a Dan Deacon show, but once you are there...its a kaleidescope of lights, sweat, dancing, hugs, and electricity.
Take the time to flip through these: Dan, you sir are the man. Thanks for bringin the Looney Tunes to Austin.

how it was made: In conjunction with a magnetic field and the load, the flux capacitor uses the hierarchical structure of the cosmos as a timer, to help sync the calendar with the stars. The trilamination of the tiny spheres with selected metals and their subjection to a magnetic field and current (sustained by the load) destabilizes the orderliness of the navigation, the heavier atom and the "content" of individual layers of metal. The website matter then seeks to re-establish itself in the "fractal set."
The trilamination inserts a "curve" where there ought to be none, between the communal structure and the next higher context of presence which is normally occupied by living things, beneath the solar niche and within the biospheric niche in a five to eleven dimensional collapsible schema of the universe accounting for all the phenomenon observed by rock fans as well as scientists. Thus, our www.mohawkaustin community is born.

If you went, you got sweaty. If you didnt, ummm. Next year perhaps. Art Brut dropped the brit bomb, St.Vincent, Yellow Fever, White Denim, Grizzly bear (wow), Brazos, Car Stereo (wars), all brought their 'A' game. Anywho, a big thanks to all that helped with this event:
Johnny, Aquarium Drunkard, Brooklyn Vegan, La Blogotheque, My Old Kentucky Blog, Daytrotter, You Ain't No Picasso, Super Alright!
Thanks to Chromewaves, you can dig on some pics here

So, we have a fancy new roofdeck...and a sexy new website...and some icy cold high lifes...but we aint got love. Billeum has taken the time to teach us the proper way to 'woo' all of the foxy squaws out there. We give you: 'Mohawk Lovin':
